Harmonium Intensive Weekend
with Daniel Tucker
Admission: |
$235 |
For the 1st time ever in New York City we are offering a very special weekend of Harmonium learning, playing, and fun!
If you want to play harmonium, sing in your yoga classes, or develop a personal kirtan practice, this workshop is for you! This in-depth, HANDS-ON workshop is intended to rocket-launch your musical practice, and provide a foundation in harmonium playing and kirtan-singing!
All the basics are covered: keyboard fingering, sargam (Indian Scale) singing, sargam exercises, sargam notation, playing chords, reading song sheets, vocal warm-ups, and leading a group in call-and-response singing! No previous musical experience is required!

By the end of the weekend you will be able to play a few kirtan songs and you will have several exercises to support your musical growth on harmonium! Even if you already know a little harmonium, you will strengthen your skills and deepen your understanding & confidence during this weekend.
Daniel is a long time friend, kirtan lover, & music teacher/musician. He has attended several Kirtan Camps with Jai Uttal where we declared him the “Official Kirtan Camp Harmonium Teacher”. His sweetness, clarity, and knowledge makes Daniel the perfect teacher for students at all levels. To learn more about Daniel, check out his web-site: www.harmoniumlessons.com.
